Lighting up their lives

We provided solar powered electricity to 50 homes in the remote village of “Debbakawe” located in Embilipitiya, which hitherto only had lamps or candle light after dark. The school children in the village no longer have to finish their home work before sun set or study in the light of a Kerosene lamp, and it was a poignant moment when an 82 year old woman resident of the village switched on a light switch for the first time in her life, conveying to us how precious the things that we sometimes taken for granted can be.
